At the recent BiS SiGMA Americas, Sebastian Perrier visited the GMB stand for an exclusive interview. The executive highlighted the importance of the new approach to video bingo in attracting younger generations to the vertical, and pointed to the success of titles with Brazilian themes. He also revealed exclusively that the new game will be centred around Carnival and the Sambadrome.
Games Magazine Brasil – What impressions did BiS SiGMA Americas leave on you, and what were Neko Games’ objectives in attending the event?
Sebastian Perrier – This event demonstrates the huge potential of the Brazilian market. We saw an incredible number of people and the quality of the event, which is improving year after year. You only have to look at the stands to see this. There are top-tier companies, not only operators, but also platform, game and payment providers. BiS SiGMA Americas has become an important place for doing business. I congratulate the organisers for achieving this.
As a major video bingo developer, how would you assess this vertical within the iGaming sector?
Bingo is in the DNA of Latin American players, and particularly Brazilian players. Bingo is something we play with our families; it is very familiar to us. It is very important to us, so we want to honour that legacy and our culture by creating the best video bingo games for the region.
And with highly engaging themes, because it is no longer simply about drawing numbers from balls. You create engaging stories. Is the goal to attract a new generation?
Yes, absolutely. Many people think bingo is for an older audience, but that is not necessarily the case. Technology has improved significantly, and we can now deliver much higher-quality games. So, we aim to bring the quality of slots to the bingo sector. When you look at our games, you will find excellent sound, visuals and first-class themes.
